Sugar Construction, Inc. is a Midland, Michigan based company that specializes in industrial and commercial construction. We have a 30 year solid reputation of quality workmanship, timeliness of project completion, and project safety. Our team of project managers have very diverse backgrounds in the construction industry, making us a well rounded organization. Most of our project supervisors have been with Sugar Construction for over 20 years, making us a stable company.
Company History
Incorporated and opened for business in 1979, started by partners Tom LeVasseur, Dick Sugar, and Don Sugar. Primarily as an industrial foundation concrete contractor and quickly grew into general contracting. Dick and Don Sugar have since retired and the business in now held by Matthew LeVasseur and Scott LeVasseur, with Tom LeVasseur still active in day to day business. Since that time we have grown to approximately 50 employees.
We currently perform work in the commercial, educational, industrial and even the occasional home. We have performed work for many school systems throughout the state as a General Contractor and also as a Subcontractor working directly for either the school system or for their designated Construction Manager. Along with school systems we have worked in chemical plants, recreation parks, churches, retail businesses, banks, etc. We have also branched out into making concrete tables and sinks.
